The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Movie Program

This is a Movie Program from the film, "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." This program has great color pictures from the film. This is a oversized paperback program. This is not too difficult to find, but a sought after item.

  1. Does the name of the theater usually appear on these? Does it affect the value either way? Anything you can tell me about this item would be great. Thanks.

  2. Hey Ana,

Honestly, it is something I never noticed. I would guess that if a Hollywood or more well known theaters name appeared on the front it could be more valuable. I think the most important thing is the overall condition. These are fantastic booklets, they normally sell in upwards of $100 or so. This is a scan of the one I own, if you want me to scan any other photos of it for you, let me know. There are two fantastic color prints in the middle of the book, that are frame worthy! If I ever find another one for cheap, I would take it apart to frame those two prints.

  3. Okay, I just bought this for $125, hope I didn't overpay. It seems to be in quite good condition except that the spine is taped. I really like the piece and Four Horsemen is one of my favorites.

  4. That is great, you did just fine. These are getting harder and harder to find. You will be pleased once you see the inside color pages I was referring to, it really is a great piece. Congratulations!

  5. That was my thought as well. As vintage items are getting fewer and farther between, I thought I'd better grab it. I can't believe no one bid on that very fine copy of the estate catalog. It was a great price on that. Guess all the serious collectors already have a copy. It was $100 less than I paid for mine and it included a cool vintage photo of the auction.

  6. It was a great price, I am sure they will relist it at a later time, where I am sure they will sell it. Furthermore, you are correct in the fact that a great many collectors own a copy. But, in all honesty, if the price is right, I would always buy more than one item because I know what it is worth. I have done that a few times in the past.

  7. This seller re-listed one of these programs with the exact description as the one I purchased. Do you think they have two of 'em?
I sent them a message just in case..

  8. Yeah, I saw that, I was a bit confused myself. It is possible they have more than one of them. I would just make sure it matches the photo and description when you receive it. Keep me posted, I don't mind acting as your Valentino Collectible bodyguard.

  9. My hero! I shot the seller a message and it seems they have not one, but TWO more to sell. What I'm confused about is that they all have the identical description. How is that possible?
I hope they didn't list the worst one first. Thanks so much for all your help.

  10. Hahaha, well I am glad you found out what the issue was. I used to go to estate and garage sale every week to buy things to sell on ebay. Anytime I found a great deal on something I would always buy more than one. For example, when Elvis died in 1977, the St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper had a commemorative color insert on Elvis and his life, they had about 25 of them, I bought all of them because I knew collectors would be interested in them. When I sold one, I would just re-list it with the same description. This may explain what they are doing as well. I would just double check your item when you receive it, if it is not up to your standards, or does not match the description, they have more to swap out with you. Great job on finding out what was going on!

  11. I received it today. It is in very good condition and the tape is only on small part at top of spine on the inside. You were right, this is a great piece with lots of photos and the color art work is beautiful. Once again, thanks for your guidance.

  12. Ana, not a problem at all, any time! I am glad you received your item and it is in the condition as it was described. Another great item for your collection! There are a couple of hard to find pieces of sheet music on ebay right now that are both very reasonably, you may want to check out!
