Ok, so I am a sucker for Books and Sheet Music. This is a rare piece from the 1925 film, Cobra. The sheet music has dates on the bottom, Thursday July 1st. There was a Thursday July 1st in 1926, so I guess it's possible this movie theater did not screen them film until then. Regardless, I think it's a uncommon piece, most likely not overly valuable; however, I am on the look out for.

Color Advertisement for the film Cobra
This is a wonderful color advertisement for the 1925 film, Cobra. I believe this ad to be Scandinavian. This is very similar to the American version; but, slightly different. This is one of these items that would look great framed. This is such a great film, I feel it's Nita Naldi at her best, as she "Vamp's" Valentino! This would be a great film to watch in Hollywood with fellow Valentino fans! One of my favorite parts of this film is when Valentino is introduced:
In scrapes or out of them,
there was always some-
thing magnificent about
the young Count Torriani.

Candid Photo of Valentino with Secretarial Signature
This is a rare, candid photo of Rudy dated 1925. This candid snapshot is signed, "To Lyle, Sincerely Rudy, 11-14-25." After some great feedback and taking the time to review the photo closer, this is definitely not signed by Valentino. Thanks for the call-out! I would be very interested in finding out who signed this on his behalf, a secretary, Pola, George Ullman, who knows?. Valentino appears to be wearing the same ensemble from the film Cobra. Candid shots of Rudy that were not mass produced are extremely desirable. Donna gave some great background to this photo, thank you for that. The photo was taken at Pola Negri's home, with different variations appearing in Donna's book. The fact this is not signed by Valentino obviously brings the value down. It is still a rare photo and these types of items do not surface very often.

French Film Magazine
This is a French Magazine from 1929, called "Le Film." The cover of the magazine depicts Valentino from the 1925 film, Cobra. After Valentino's death various publications featured Valentino on their cover. I am sure it assisted publications in selling magazines. Most of these were produced during the anniversary of his death or birth. Some simply featured small stories pertaining to Valentino and his life or films. This particular magazine is not seen too often; however, like most simple black and white publications are priced moderately.

Lobby Card from Cobra
This is a lobby card from the 1925 film, Cobra, co-starring silent vamp, Nita Naldi. This is great scene from the film, Valentino gets introduced to Naldi, Elise by her Grandmother; however, she already had a date that night. Her date gets upset and tells his friends, "Elise has been flirting with that indoor sheik all evening!" When the meet up, Valentino politely takes his ring off before punching him in the face and then proceeds to quickly approach the man's other two friends, as to say, you want some too? Anyway, I digress, the lobby cards from this film are not too common and very collectible, I am still looking for any of them myself.

Five Photos from Cobra
Here are five photos from my favorite Valentino film, "Cobra." The movie co-stars the sultry Nita Naldi. She vamps him throughout the entire film, which is a common theme throughout Valentino/Naldi films. Even though this is not as popular as The Sheik films or The Four Horsemen, I find his acting in this film to be very polished and advanced, I may be a bit biased though. Anyway great film, and great photos from the film.

1925 Cuban Cobra Magazine
This is a magazine from 1925 depicting Valentino from the film, "Cobra." The magazine is called Carteles, which translate to Posters. These magazines are not too common. I do know that Valentino appeared on the cover of this publication various times. This is not an overly valuable magazine, but you still have to add it to the collection.

Lobby Card from Cobra
This is a wonderful Lobby Card from the 1925 film, "Cobra." This is a great scene from the film where Valentino leaves the restaurant through the backdoor only to see Rosa's Papa hiding to confront him; however, Rosa's Papa cover is blown by a couple of children. This is a rare and wonderfully colorful card, this would be a great addition to any collection, especially mine.

Lobby Card from the Film Cobra
This is a lobby card from the film, “Cobra.” Lobby cards from this film are not common, actually these are very difficult to find. I am still mad I let these get away a few months ago when they were on ebay. They are highly sought after and fairly valuable as well. To my knowledge the movie was not re-released, so these cards were not reproduced or re-released. I am still looking for one or eight to add to my collection!

Rare Cobra Movie Poster
This is a fantastic movie poster from the film, "Cobra." I looked up the dates and days of the week, this is an original release poster from 1925. Cobra is my favorite Valentino film, I would absolutely love to have this. I have never seen this poster before now. Note the photo of Valentino on the poster in a bow tie, a likeness not from the film. This was a way for the studio to market a film with Valentino where he was not in costume, just the great lover as an Italian playboy. This is a absolute fantastic poster, this is one I will definitely be looking for, the biggest problem is trying to afford it, if I ever find it!

Five Photos from the Film, Cobra
These are five photos from my favorite Valentino film, Cobra. This was one of two films Valentino made in 1925, the other being The Eagle. This was the only film that I know of that Valentino actually played an Italian, which to me made his role very believable. Nita Naldi is fantastic in this film, you love to hate her character. Some of these photos are original, which are obviously more valuable than the over-produced copies made today. Thanks to Ana for the first photo!

Lobby Card from Cobra
This is a wonderful lobby card from the film, "Cobra." This was Valentino's second to last film. One of my favorite Valentino films, he plays an Italian playboy who comes to America to get away from women..... not so much. It is a great early soap opera type movie with plenty of memorable scenes including my favorite silent actress, Nita Naldi. She happens to be his most common leading lady, starring in three films with Valentino. Lobby cards from this film are rare and are quite valuable. I am looking for all of them!

Rudolph Valentino's 1925 French Avion Voisin
This is one of Valentino's many cars. This is a 1925 French Avion Voisin. This car appeared in the auction catalog, page 15, auction number 8. The catalog lists the car as having a "high lustre taupe colored lacquer paint job." The new photos of this car are gray, which is obviously not the original paint job. The hood ornament is of the cobra with the blood red fangs, which became a staple for Valentino after his film, Cobra. I believe this car is in the Nethercutt Museum in San Francisco. The photos are from the Nethercutt website. This is obviously a one of a kind personal effect that would be highly sought after by any collector, although it would be difficult to fit it into my Valentino room.

1926 Revista Serrador Brazilian Magazine
This is a wonderful magazine from 1926. This Brazilian magazine is called Revista Serrador, which translates to Serrador Magazine. The magazine depicts a great colorized photo of Valentino from the film, Cobra. I really enjoy the foreign magazines and their covers, they are often unique. Still looking for this one myself.

Rare Spanish Cobra Paperback Book
This is a very rare paperback book from Spain. This is similar to the Black Eagle book I posted earlier this month. The book is in Spanish and features various photos from the film, Cobra from 1925. Just as I stated about the Black Eagle book this book is made of a very cheap, thin paper, thus leading me to believe 85 years later there are not many in existence. This is one of my favorite book covers, I really enjoy the colorized scene of Valentino and Nita Naldi.

Rudolph Valentino Cobra Movie Program
This is a movie program from the film, "Cobra." With the mild success of Monsieur Beaucaire, notice this program reads, "A strictly modern story of tempestuous love, stirring drama , and touching sacrifice." Some Valentino fans did not care for the period film, with occasional comedy, Monsieur Beaucaire, this is why this was touted as a modern drama.

Rudolph Valentino Photos from Cobra
These are five great photos from the film, "Cobra," from 1925. The top 2 photos depict Valentino in a flashback scene as one of his womanizing relatives who is trying to hide two women at once. In the film, in his home, there is a painting of this relative on the wall, I wonder if the painting is still around?

2-Page Color Movie Ad from Cobra
This is a full size 2-page color movie ad for the film, "Cobra." I believe this ad to be from The Saturday Evening Post. This is an awesome vibrant color movie ad. This is not a very common movie ad to find.

Photos from Cobra
These are five photos from one of my favorite Valentino films, "Cobra." This was Valentino's first film after Monsieur Beaucaire. The studio wanted Valentino to get back to a basic role for his fans, so he was depicted as a womanizing Italian playboy with his favorite leading lady and mine, Nita Naldi.
