So the Rudolph Valentino Collectibles Blog received the Liebster Blog Award. It is an award bloggers give to other bloggers. It is a great way to get great blogs recognized. Elisa from Elisa's Classic Film Blog,(http://elisalovesclassicfilms.blogspot.com)was nice enough to give out the award. Here is a bit more information about the award:
Some time (in the recent past), somewhere (rumor has it that it might be Germany), someone (I guessing he/she was named Liebster) decided to do something nice for a whole lot of bloggers and started the Liebster Blog Award.
It’s an award you receive, but it is also an award that you give. If you receive a Liebster Blog Award you are asked to choose 3 other bloggers and send them one as well.
Alright, I will play along. I know of three other blogs that deserve the award and all of your should check out, all of them, I believe I have mentioned before.
Hollywoodland a blog by "The Valentino Mystique" author Allan Ellenberger.

Rudolph Valentino and his 88 American Beauties Glass Slide
This is a glass slide for a film short called Rudolph Valentino and his 88 American Beauties. Glass Slides were utilized by movie studios and theaters to promote upcoming and other attractions, think of it as a movie preview, only it was not a clip, just a slide show. This short featured Valentino judging a beauty contest. This occurred in 1923, while he was having contract disputes with Famous-Players, so any new footage of Valentino was a sought after commodity for his fans. Glass slides are very collectible and are often found cracked or broken, this one is especially unique because it is not for one of his feature films. One last thing these have been reproduced so, do some research before making a purchase.

Rudolph Valentino and his 88 American Beauties
This is the poster for Rudolph Valentino and his 88 American Beauties. Again, this was a promotion where Valentino appeared to crown the winner during his troubles with Paramount. They filmed the event to release, this is the poster. The original poster is very rare and valuable, the reprints are common.
