Rare French Sheet Music from Monsieur Beaucaire

This is a fantastic, rare, over-sized piece of sheet music from the 1924 film, Monsieur Beaucaire.   The sheet music is from France.  I had never seen this variation until now.  Another great item uncovered, 90 years after the film was released!  As I have stated in the past, sheet music is one of my favorite collectibles, next to books.  They are vintage, fairly reasonably priced, and easy to frame and display.  This particular piece is one of those rare variations that is not often seen!

Cobra Sheet Music

Ok, so I am a sucker for Books and Sheet Music.  This is a rare piece from the 1925 film, Cobra.  The sheet music has dates on the bottom, Thursday July 1st.  There was a Thursday July 1st in 1926, so I guess it's possible this movie theater did not screen them film until then.  Regardless, I think it's a uncommon piece, most likely not overly valuable; however, I am on the look out for.

Under the Double Eagle Sheet Music

As many of you know Sheet Music is one of my Valentino addictions.  When I first start out collecting, it was one of the cheapest collectibles to buy.  Often times they are from the 20's, with vibrant colors and unique artwork.  This particular example I would guess to be from the 60's or 70's.  It's titled "Under the Double Eagle."  This is not a common piece, but not extremely valuable either.  Simply another piece of sheet music to add to the collection.

Swedish Blood and Sand Sheet Music

This is a rare piece of sheet music from Sweden from the film, "Blood and Sand." Sheet music, besides books, are my favorite items to collect in regards to Valentino memorabilia. Pieces of sheet music often depict scenes from the film or colorful, artistic depictions of the actors. I look at sheet music as in the same class as posters and lobby cards, they are of the same period and represent a tool to promote the film. This particular piece is not often seen, there are many other variations of sheet music from the film, Blood and Sand. As in this case the overseas variation is quite different that the U.S. editions.

Swedish Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Sheet Music

This is a rare piece of sheet music from 1923 from The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The sheet music is from Stockholm Sweden and is titled, "Tango Valentino." This is one of the coolest pieces of sheet music I have come across. Similar to many of the overseas movie posters there are various versions of overseas sheet music with different art work and designs. This is a piece that is not seen too often and would be fairly valuable, this is the first time I have come across this piece.

Rudolph Valentino Blues Sheet Music

This is a piece of sheet music called the Rudolph Valentino Blues. The cover is very similar to the more common piece of sheet music, "There's a New Star in Heaven Tonight." This particular piece is not as common; but, still fairly easy to find. This piece was released in 1922, back in the height of his stardom. Companies were smart to capitalize on his popularity by inspiring songs or featuring him on the cover to sell their music. Obviously, it is still working today, we collectors have to have them!

Rare Blood and Sand Sheet Music

This is a different variation of "You Gave Me Your Heart, So I Give You Mine," from the film Blood and Sand. I have never seen this variation before now. There are so many differnt pieces of sheet music out there, just like books, they are difficult to catalog all of them.

Sheet Music from The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

This is Sheet Music entitled "In Old Manila." This is from the film, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. This sheet music was most likely produced well after the film, since Valentino was virtually an unknown when the film was released. Even so this is not a common piece of sheet music.

Czechoslovakiaian Sheet Music from Blood and Sand

This is a rare copy of Czechoslovakiaian Sheet Music from the film, "Blood and Sand." The things I enjoy collecting the most are books and sheet music. They both seem to be relatively inexpensive and there are so many different variations out there to find. I just purchased this piece and had never seen it before now.

Rare Artist Copy Sheet Music

This is a rare copy of "That Night in Araby," from the film, "The Son of the Sheik." This is a rare artist copy, which is about half of the size of a normal piece of sheet music, notice that this copy does not have the normal yellow background as well. To my knowledge these are not easy to come by.

Rare Young Rajah Sheet Music

This is a rare piece of Sheet Music from The Young Rajah. This appears to be, "Dedicated to Rudolph Valentino." However, The Young Rajah is from 1922, Valentino died in 1926, so, I am unsure why The Young Rajah appears on memorial style sheet music. This is difficult piece to find, I am still looking for this one myself, as always let me know if you have a few of these laying around your basement!

Memorial Sheet Music

There were many memorial pieces of Sheet Music produced after Valentino died. The first two pieces are very common. They were the first two pieces of Valentino items I purchased.

This is more difficult to come across, it is not rare, just harder to find. This features Valentino's first wife Jean Acker. They remained good friends throughout his life.

This is a very rare piece of sheet music. This is for, "There's a New Star in Heaven To'Night." I believe this was played during certain showings of The Son of the Sheik after Valentino died.
