1925 Girl's Cinema Magazine

This is a magazine or more like a newspaper booklet called Girl's Cinema.  Valentino was often on the cover of this magazine.  This one is dated September of 1925.  The cover reads: Rudolph Valentino's Latest Picture, The Story of "A Sainted Devil" Inside.  A Sainted Devil was released in November of 1924.  So, it surprising this made the cover almost a year later.  Two months after this magazine was published The Eagle and Cobra was released.  This is not an extremely valuable magazine; however, the fact it is A Sainted Devil item helps increase the value.

1923 French Eve Magazine

This is a French magazine from 1923.  The name of the magazine is called Eve.  The cover of the magazine depicts a photo of Valentino and Natacha and one of just Valentino.  These magazines are not too common, it does not have the artful, colorful covers that are highly desirable; however, it's one you have to have for the collection.

French Film Magazine

This is a French Magazine from 1929, called "Le Film." The cover of the magazine depicts Valentino from the 1925 film, Cobra. After Valentino's death various publications featured Valentino on their cover. I am sure it assisted publications in selling magazines. Most of these were produced during the anniversary of his death or birth. Some simply featured small stories pertaining to Valentino and his life or films. This particular magazine is not seen too often; however, like most simple black and white publications are priced moderately.

Vintage Italian Valentino Magazine

This is an Italian magazine called il mattino illustrato, which translates in English to The Morning Shows. I believe this magazine is from 1926. It depicts a profile photo of Valentino on the cover. I do not own this piece, I assume it is a magazine, it could quite possibly be a newspaper supplement. This is definitely not a common piece; but most likely would not be as sought after or as valuable as some of the colorful artistic covers. For someone like myself, it is another item I would have to have for the ever-growing collection of items I have no further room for, oh well, time to get rid of my childhood baseball cards.

1925 Monsieur Beaucaire Filmiaitta Magazine

This is a 1925 magazine featuring Valentino and Bebe Daniels from the 1924 film, Monsieur Beaucaire. The magazine is from Finland and is called Filmiaitta. They often had Valentino on the cover and many were very colorful and artistic. Many of the vintage magazines depicting Valentino on the cover have vibrant colors similar to many of the movie posters and lobby cards for a fraction of the price. This one is definitely eye catching with the bright orange.

1922 Movie Weekly Magazine

This is a Movie Weekly Magazine from 1922. It features Valentino on the cover from the film, Beyond the Rocks. The magazine asks, "Is Rodolph Valentino a Bigamist?" This was during all of the Bigamy drama with Natacha and Jean Acker. This is not a common edition of Movie Weekly, you just do not see this one too often. I am still looking for this one myself.

This is a miniature Spanish magazine from the 1930's. It depicts Valentino and Clara Kimball Young from the film, "Eyes of Youth." The front of the magazine reads, "Biblioteca Films, El Camino Del Amor, which translates to Library Films, The Way of Love. The magazine contains a insert photo of Valentino. This is a great little magazine. It is not too often that Eyes of Youth is featured on the front of a magazine.

Rare 1925 Magazine from Finland

This is a hard to find magazine entitled "Allas Kronika." This magazine is from Finland and is dated 1925. The name of the magazine translate to "Everyone's Chronicle." The cover depicts Valentino from the film Monsieur Beaucaire. Even though the cover does not have vibrant colors, it would still be a desirable magazine to collectors/myself.

1924 Screenland Magazine

This is a magazine called Screenland from 1924. It says Seattle Washington on the top of the magazine along with the date. It appears to possibly be a newspaper supplement. The magazine depicts a unique cover depicting Valentino from the film, "A Sainted Devil." I like how this appears that Valentino was cut out and pasted on the cover. This is a great example of one of those unique rarely seen magazines.

1926 Liberty Magazine, Rudolfo Hollidino?

This is a wonderful Liberty Magazine from 1926 that depicts a couple looking at a Rudolfo Hollidino, AKA Rudolph Valentino poster. I am unsure why the fake name; however, I think that makes it more funny. The man is saying "Aw, he's full of garlic." Which was a common male reaction to Valentino in the 20's. I find this to be a great comical Valentino item.

1926 Motion Picture Director Son of the Sheik Magazine

This is a copy of The Motion Picture Director magazine from July of 1926. The cover depicts a fantastic depiction of Valentino and Vilma Banky from the film, "The Son of the Sheik." This is an excellent example of a 20's magazine, pre-August 1926. I have never come across this magazine, the unique cover would lead me to believe it would be a bit more valuable than most magazines from the period.

The Eagle French Cine Revue Magazine

This is a great French magazine from 1926 depicting a scene with Valentino from the film, "The Eagle." This is a fantastic photo from the film, it makes him look like a Russian leader of some sorts. I feel The Eagle is one of Valentino's best performances. It tends to get over shadowed by both Sheik films and The Four Horsemen. Back to the magazine, this is not a common item; however it will not cost you top dollar to add it to your collection. I am still looking for this one myself.

1924 Canadian Cinema Magazine

This is a magazine from 1924 called Cinema. It is a French Canadian magazine that depicts Valentino on the cover. They seemed to have slightly colorized the photo of Valentino on the cover give him the appearance of a red hue. As with most of the magazines I post, this one is not overly valuable, but just one more that would need to be added to the collection. With that said, I am still looking for this one myself.

1926 Finnish Son of the Sheik Magazine

This is a magazine from Finland called Filmiaitta from 1926. The cover depicts Valentino and Vilma Banky from the film, "The Son of the Sheik." This is a wonderful overseas magazine depicting Valentino on the cover. Many of these magazines had orange covers, or depicted color photos, those tend to be a bit more desirable than the plain black and white cover. But, who am I kidding we would all still like to have it no matter what the color of the cover!
