This is a Glass Slide from the 1925 film, The Eagle. As I have stated with other Glass Slide posts, these are difficult to find without cracks or chips. Most of these were hand painted. While these were in use, I am sure no one ever considered these to be collectibles one day, as with most things we collect today. Valentino Glass Slides are still very desirable and in good condition can be quite valuable.

Welcome Back!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I realized while shopping on ebay, I have totally been neglecting the blog! I have some great rare pics to post soon!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. I was missing the posts. The pink themed Valentino poster you gave me is still of my cherished items :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I am glad to hear it! I have one here in my office and one at work. I love it as well, not only is Cobra my favorite Rudy movie, Nita Naldi is my favorite Silent Leading Lady! I posted some of the rare pics today, more to come!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I seen Rudolph Valentino Blood & Sand référence in the Great Gatsby.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I love with period films reference the silents and of course Rudy! I love the movie Chaplin. I am Chaplin fan as well. I thought Robert Downey Jr. was totally robbed for not winning the Oscar. My only complaint about the film was no reference about Valentino!
