Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and I hope many of your friends and family members are getting out tomorrow to find you some Rudy treasures for Christmas! I thought I would post a few color photos from the Old Hollywood in Color blog. These photos include scenes from The Sheik, The Young Rajah, Blood and Sand, and a candid photo.

Colorized Photos of Valentino Behind the Scenes
I came across these fantastic photos from a blog called, "Old Hollywood in Color." I emailed the administrator of the site, Bob, to get his permission to post a few of the photos. I find them to be fantastic. I think it is great to see a color photo of Valentino, these are especially interesting because they are behind the scenes photos. Photos are included from: A Sainted Devil, Beyond the Rocks, The Eagle, and The Son of the Sheik. Check out his site: http://oldhollywoodincolor.com/

Colorized Blood and Sand Photo
I do not normally list newer, manufactured items or promote other websites, but, this a very cool item I wanted to post. This photo is from a blogger named Kevin, who is also a follower of this blog, his blog is named Claroscureaux. He takes vintage Hollywood photos of actors and actresses and colorizes them. This blog is a great homage to vintage Hollywood, it is very interesting to see color photos of your favorite black and white vintage films and Hollywood stars. Check out the website, he also colorizes photos for a fee. I enjoyed going through the blog, especially the Valentino photos. This particular photo is from Blood and Sand.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to everyone! I appreciate all of the collectors and fans who stop by the blog to read, or share photos of their items. It has been almost 1 year since I started the blog. I really enjoyed posting items, when I have the time. I am still amazed after all of this time at the amount of Valentino related items that are out there. I am also still amazed at the amount of admirers and collectors out there. I enjoy hearing from all of you along with your items and stories.
I hope all of you have a great Christmas with all of your friends and family. I am also looking forward to the upcoming Valentino gifts from my friends and family as well....I can't wait!

1925 Rudolph Valentino Theatre Handout Photo
This is a theatre handout from 1925. It depicts a color drawing of Valentino in a v-neck sweater with a bow tie. On the back of this handout are advertisements for a few upcoming movies. The comical fact is that none of the advertised movies are Valentino films. This is simply advertising with Valentino's face on it so that people picked it up and looked at it. These handouts are difficult to come across.

Color Monsieur Beaucaire Transmission
There is a great historial story behind this photo. This is a true color photo of Valentino. This is a photo from the film Monsieur Beaucaire. This photo in 1924, was transmitted from Chicago to New York. This transmission was the first wire transmission of a color photograph. I am sure many people do not realize that Valentino was involoved in color photo history!
